Trip to Shreveport

After a week of Bryan Chase and I all being sick with strep and an unknown vomit illness for Caden, it was time to get out of the house. Being cooped up in the house that long is a hard pill to swallow. Bryan and I have always wanted to go check out Shreveport but never did so we decided Saturday would be a great day for it. All i had ever heard about Shreveport was how great it was for gambling so I went online to see what there was for families to do. I found the Sci Port science museum.. PERFECT for my boys. They all LOVE science and better yet...we got in free with our reciprocal membership at the Discovery Science Place in Tyler. So off we went for a fun adventure.

Afterwards we went across the river to the Louisiana boardwalk for lunch at Fuddruckers. The boys loved going to the one in Grapevine so they were excited to see it. Then we headed home. When everyone got buckled up in the car...Cole says...Daddy I need to go potty? ...really Cole...because we JUST left the restaurant..he says "i just mean i need to go soon". LOL..so we go a few miles up the road and look for a reststop. When we get there. He climbs out and steps on his drink and its styrofoam..so of course it has a gaping hole in the cup and you know the rest. all over the cup holder. The cup is just swimming in the cupholder. We then have to find a store to buy paper towels to clean up the mess. That gets handled and we are on our way. Fun times in Shreveport. Just another day in our crazy life.

Christmas Cards

We got our photos taken very early this year by the wonderful Chera. We spent the morning at our friends farm in Rockwall. It was great to catch up with friends and let the kids run wild on their beautiful farm. After a morning of running around, we got the kids dressed to go take pictures in Frisco. Despite the kids being their usual wild selves...she still managed to get some amazing shots that capture their personalities. She is such an amazing photographer and I cant wait to see our edited photos and get started making our holiday cards. I have a feeling it will be hard to choose which pictures i like the best.

I think my favorite part of Christmas is getting Christmas cards from friends and family. Its so much fun to see how the kids have grown over the year.

These were taken at a summer kickoff swim party at the Twaddells house. Chase ran around the entire time and barely stopped to eat. We brought blueberry cobbler with blueberries that we picked at the berry patch the day before. It was so good!

Caden and Cole spent most of their time in the pool playing basketball and diving. Chase liked to swim but couldnt stay in one place for more than a few minutes because thats his nature. Chase liked the zipline the best and was so proud that he was big enough to ride on it.

Finally a new post!

ive decided that id better update my blog. Ill try to be better about updating for 2010. Ill start with some of my favorite pictures from the snowfall. The boys had such a wonderful day. It happened on the perfect day because the kids were out of school for teacher inservice and i was wondering what i was going to do to keep them busy and God answered my prayer and gave us snow! They played with a bunch of the neighbor kids and came in and had hot chocolate and soup.

We went to Angies on Saturday for a wonderful brunch playdate with our friends. Chase was in LOVE with this mustang. I think he needs to improve his driving skills before he gets his own.

Chases bluebonnet pictures

It was unbelievably windy and cold but Desiree and I already had the kids dressed and ready to go so we decided to give it a try. This is the field in Plano on Spring Creek and Custer.

These turned out okay but Chase is too much like his mama and hates to be cold so hes crabby in most of them. I think Im going to stop and take some on the way home from getting our family spring photos done with Chera on Saturday so I can get some with all 3 kids.

We survived Spring Break!!

These pictures were taken at a dairy farm in Plano called lucky layla farms. They do tours so we went with a group of moms and the kids had the best time. They both loved the baby calves the best. They were so cute. The yogurt and cheese are so good there. I think we will be going back for more soon.

We had a much better week than I expected it to be other than my extreme tooth pain ending in a root canal at the end of the week. We kept pretty busy and the week went by fairly quickly. We went to the park a lot and the weather couldnt have been more beautiful.

On Saturday we got to take the boys to an early screening of Monsters vs Aliens in 3D and they loved it. We left Chase home with Maran and she must have worn him out because he fell asleep in his highchair at lunch.
