Coles art award

We got an invitation to the school art show last night for Cole to receive a participation award for his artwork that he entered into the pta art contest. It was so cute to see him go on stage and run back to me with the proudest look you have ever seen. That kid melts my heart every time and he knows it! He couldnt wait to come home and show Caden. He said that he is going to enter more of his art next year.

I got Cole this jersey because he had been wanting one for so long to be like his brother Caden. He loves it and likes to say hook em horns every time he wears it.

Some new Cole-isms..

The other day I picked him up at school and he said mommy..im getting married. I said yes you will someday and he said no..im marrying Lexie on mothers day. She asked me today. Well..then i guess its a done deal then..

Then this weekend..Bryan was doing chores with Cole and trying to get him to clean his room. He told Bryan..I just need a few more minutes...is that too much to ask? ...hmm....where has he heard that..

Caden tried to get out of cleaning the bathroom sink by saying I cant touch it..there are girl cooties in the sink from mommy. Great to know that even mommys have girl cooties.

The making of collage is just too funny to me. This was just chaos with 6 almost 2 year old children. We would get them seated and one or two would run off. We even resorted to singing itsy bitsy spider and twinkle twinkle little star to them. Chase was pretty good for the most part..no fits but he did run off a few times. In most of these..hes like alright..just get my photo taken so I can go play at that cool park I see over there. I know none of these arent the perfect photo but its perfect to me because thats how they are at this age.

Chase at the Choo Choo Station

Chases friend Indiana won a party at Choo Choo Station and he invited Chase and a bunch of other friends to come play with him. He definately liked the Thomas the train motorized car the most. He also liked the train ride the first time he went on it but didnt want to go again for some reason. There were train tables to play with and a playground in the middle of the train track. He loved being there for the first hour or so but then he thought it would be fun to run out of the store full speed and make me chase after him and then throw a tantrum when i caught him. A lot of his bad mood had to do with him waking up at 6 am every day that week. Thankfully we are back on the 645-7 am schedule and hes a much happier kid.

Cadens best friend Noah

Caden has gotten really close with a friend who was in his class last year named Noah. They went to Dave and Busters last weekend to celebrate Cadens birthday together. They talk on the phone every day while they play club penguin together online. Even though they are in different classes, they manage to see each other a lot during the day through carefully planned meetings in the bathroom and drinking fountain. Cadens teacher is oblivious to this despite it going on daily for months.

Cadens 9th birthday

I made this cake with Jens help the day before his birthday. Id never used fondant before so it kind of scared me. Its really a lot easier than I thought it would be.

Caden turned 9 on Feb 10th. I cant believe how fast the time went and I just realized that hes halfway to 18.. He got up and opened his presents from us. He got a star wars pop up book, a ben 10 wii game, a indiana jones didj game, a planeterium model for his room, and a circuit board toy. Then I sent him off to school for the day. I brought him lunch from Mcdonalds and some birthday cookies to share with his class. Bryan had 2 career fairs that day so it was up to me to take all 3 boys, a crockpot full of food and a birthday cake to the cub scout blue and gold banquet that night. I managed to pull it off somehow by putting Chase in the beco baby carrier, having Caden push the stroller with the crockpot in it and me carrying the cake. They announced Cadens birthday at the banquet and sang to him. I dont have a lot of pictures from that night because I was busy with Cole and Chase. They were both starving and crabby because it was an hour past their dinner time. Bryan came about an hour later and I left with Chase so I could put him to bed.

Stressful week

Bryan got laid off from his job this week and hes actively looking for a new one this week. He has some really good contacts at some companies around the metroplex and hes great at what he does so we are very hopeful that he will find something soon.

Ive been busy with card parties for Stampin Up this last week because of the big salebration sale going on. I love doing parties so I look forward to this time of year.

Please pray that Bryan finds a job thats even better than his last one. We know God wants what is best for our family and we are putting our faith in Him to do what is best for us.
